Tedious books, classes, evolving technology and the specialization of graphic design have all contributed to the gap in communication between printers and designers. The purpose of Think before ink was to show how design students can benefit from a new approach to print education by utilizing the idea of simplicity, product association, color and animation. Of equal importance is the idea that the design student will be able to utilize their understanding of print to recognize opportunities in order to successfully produce their designs thus becoming more desirable on a professional level.
